| Hebrew School -
Kenny Green runs Hebrew school
programs that allow his Jewish song leading talents to
shine. Students learn in an atmosphere of fun and
participation, through an array of musical selections from
the traditional to modern. As in Kenny's pre-school programs
Kenny's goal is to encourage involvement in a way that
inspires in kids a special enthusiasm. A musical experience
with Kenny Green makes religious learning feel like something
kids can own for themselves.
In addition to Hebrew
school song leading Kenny is musically involved in the
Shabbat, holiday and other religious services of several synagogues
on a regular basis as well as teaching at staff enrichment
conferences.
The charm that Kenny brings to his
Hebrew school programs comes especially alive in concert
settings. In 1996, after studying Jewish song leading with
some of the world's leading experts in the field, Kenny was
one of six musicians chosen out of hundreds of applicants
from across the nation to represent the Jewish National Fund
in their national performance troupe. He has since had the
honor of performing on stage with the musical group Kol
B'Seder and at New York City's famed "92nd Street Y" with
world renown storyteller, Peninnah Schram. Also at the “92nd
Street Y," Kenny has led numerous family seders, as well as
headlined their annual family Chanukah concert for several
years in a row.
“Kenny Green has been an important
part of our synagogue life for the past eight years. His
enthusiasm, knowledge and talent make him a favorite of
children and parents of all ages. We are blessed to have him
at Woodlands”... Harriet M. Levine, Director of
Education, Woodlands Community Temple |
